The end of a wonderful week on tour with PhotoTraining4U. I was delighted to be speaking at the Monkey Business 9 Tour hosted by Mark Cleghorn and the team at PT4U.
We took our business skill based tour from Cardiff to Southampton, London to Coventry and back. I was delighted to be asked to talk to fellow pro photographers on the art of selling online. I was able to give them an insight into the tools and marketing tips I use with my solution of choice SmugMug Pro.
Carl Cleghorn captured this little shot of me in action, I think in the process of going through some of my workflow tips with the delegates.
Looking forward to week two of the tour that starts on the 24th September.
I was recently commissioned by the National Galleries of Scotland
to photograph a dinner they were providing for the Edinburgh Convention Bureau. The highlight of the evening has to have been the most amazing table arrangement by the wonderful Planet Flowers.
Very striking and so different. It had everyone talking.
In fact one of the great things about the design was that people were able to talk across the table and not be hidden by flowers.
Many of you will know that Roman Camp Hotel
is a place I love to spend time with my family. We are there every year for Heathers birthday and any other opportunity that we get. When I have the honour of photographing someones wedding there its a real pleasure.
It really is a stunning setting.
Kirsty and Scott made it even more memorable by being just such wonderful and fun people. They had intended on being married by the river but the good old Scottish weather put pay to that. Unflustered things were moved indoors and they both had a very personal and individual humanist ceremony in the library of the Hotel.
Fortunately the weather cleared and we were able to get everyone outside for a lovely big group shot and some fun family formal shots.
We then took Kirsty and Scott for a walk around the beautiful grounds at Roman Camp and captured the icon shots that are going to feature in their wedding album.
